Post Holiday Blues

Well have been back from our holiday for nearly a week now and I am so missing being on the canal it is unbelievable!! 
The cruise went really well, only having a couple of days rain but the skipper and best mate stood firm and duly sailed on. The kids had a great time with the boy sleeping the best he ever has!! We got to all our destinations on time but it was just a shame that our end and turn around point Banbury was a rainy day!!

preperations

Well the weekend is nearly finished but I am busy thinking of next weekend. Have looked at the weather forecast and it looks like we will be having a few odd showers, not what I had hoped!. The thought of soggy fish and chips does nothing for me lol.
Have made lots of contacts now via twitter, blogs and forums and I hope I am not making too much of a nuisance of myself to the  poor souls I chat too!
Been thinking also of what to take on our boating holiday in a couple of weeks time.......and how much clothes will the kids need, do I need to go buy some t shirts, do I dare risk wearing shorts or will passing boaters crash with the dire shock of my horrble legs on show!!

Holiday on a Narrowboat

well its not long now before we go on our week away on a narrow boat!! things we have been sorting are our route, where we want to be by nightfall each day and what positions on board we will be taking! 
So far it is Mark as driver, Oliver, Hughie and I as lock masters and Rosemary as Marks second in command! (god help him...note to self..take nurofen for his headache lol)
